This policy explains how MovingPal ("we", "us") uses personal data collected through this website. We are the data controller. Contact us at customersupport@movingpal.co.uk.

What we collect

When you request a quote or contact us we collect: your name, phone number, email address, the addresses (postcodes) you are moving from and to, details of your move (property size, date, access, extras and notes), and anything else you choose to tell us. If you email us we also keep a record of that conversation.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
• To provide the moving service you book. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• To keep records and handle claims or disputes, and to improve our service. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
• To comply with legal obligations, such as accounting and tax records.

When you submit a form we automatically email you a confirmation that we have received it. We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked for them.

Who we share it with

We share data only with providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, our email and form-handling providers, and our crews for the purpose of carrying out your move. These providers act on our instructions. Some may process data outside the UK, in which case we rely on appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

If you do not book, we keep your enquiry for up to 12 months. If you book, we keep records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and accounting requirements, usually up to 6 years.

Cookies and tracking

See our cookie notice. This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for anonymous visit and page-speed statistics (pages viewed, referrer, load times, broad device and country); they use no cookies and are not linked to you. If you click Accept on our cookie banner we also use Google Analytics, with Google acting as our processor, to understand how the site is used. You can withdraw consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. We will ask for your consent before adding anything else that sets cookies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email customersupport@movingpal.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
